What I do here:
I manage new business development initiatives for Columbia River Advisors and serve as the Chief Financial Officer.

Why I love my job:
I love looking for opportunities and solutions that can create more value for our clients and strengthen our business model.  I also love the interaction with our great team.

Work History:
I started out my career in 2000 by doing an internship for Merrill Lynch in Hawaii.  From there I began as a financial advisor for Edward Jones Investments in Puyallup, Washington where I managed client relationships and monitored investment portfolios.  After starting a family and relocating I moved to Linsco Private Ledger and continued deepening relationships and servicing clients while gaining independent experience with some real estate development projects outside of financial services.  I discovered the benefits and transparency I could share with clients by transitioning away from the broker dealer platform and to a registered investment advisory platform.  So I cofounded Columbia River Advisors and focused my energy on the back office, business development and financial aspects of growing a regional firm that is making an impact and providing solutions to benefit our clients.

Education:
BBA Bachelor of Business Administration, University of Hawaii at Hilo, 2000. At different times in my career I have held Series 7, 65 and Insurance Licenses.

Where I come from:
I grew up in Buckley, Washington, a small community southeast of Seattle. And now reside in Ephrata, WA.

A Little Personal:
My wife and I have two girls and a boy ranging from 9 to 13 years old.  We enjoy a wide variety of outdoor and sporting activities.  Our faith, family, and friends are the most important things in our lives.  Growing up, I played high school and college basketball and was blessed to have a great family supporting me and I was able to develop some wonderful friendships.  I learned the importance of character and integrity from my parents and that actions speak so much louder than words.
